Many of these stories are relatable to us; as they can range from agreements, discussions, family problems, etc

Opera can easily lend itself well to complicated situations or life stories because it is relatable; as such I chose this theme as the foundation of my campaign


The conceptual thinking behind the ‘Look Closer’ campaign stems from the simple observation that opera as an art form represents individuals and their respective stories.

I wanted to directly engage with the audience so that anyone through Instagram can take a photograph with the hashtag ‘#RoyalOpera’. This would then lead to their photograph being audited and selected by The ROH to be used in a poster design depicting the opera which matches the imagery.
